Inspired by the elegance and simplicity of Suzhou Architecture, the aesthetic for this apartment is fashioned primarily from the oriental compositions of the white surfaces and black stained timber elements. Simplicity, poise and proportion were quite essential to achieving our rendition of a modernised ‘Suzhou’ aesthetic.

Traditional composition and proportions are employed together with clean lines and modern materials to conceive this Modern Chinese apartment. Even the furniture selection reveals a similar approach: authentic antique scholar chairs sit harmoniously with modern classics like the Noguchi coffee table.
